Tim Sullivan became assumed his current responsibilities in February 2018. During his tenure, he has led the NJEDA’s transformation into a comprehensive economic development organization, including overseeing the creation of the NJEDA’s Office of Economic Transformation, focused on catalyzing industry clusters; the Office of International Trade and Investment; the Office of Policy, Planning and Research; and, a dedicated Small Business Unit with a focus on historically underrepresented firms. Prior to joining NJEDA, Mr. Sullivan served as deputy commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, and before that as chief of staff to the New York City deputy mayor for economic development. Mr. Sullivan began his career in investment banking at Lehman Brothers, and later worked at Barclays Capital before moving to the public sector.
